Sarah is well versed in all aspects of corporate law having worked in London, Northwest England and Northern Ireland. Sarah is currently an Associate in our Commercial department and still retains her practising certificate for England and Wales. She enjoys advising clients with business in several locations as well as those closer to home.
Sarah’s working day revolves around all aspects of company, commercial and charities law. She has extensive experience in all types of corporate transactional work including management buy-outs, management by-ins and M&As. Sarah has also assisted in advising on a number of the PFI/PPP Projects completed to date in Northern Ireland.
Sarah currently heads up the firms multidisciplinary Charities Unit. Her charity clients range from small charitable trusts to companies limited by guarantee with a UK wide presence. Sarah advises both her local and national charitable clients on matters ranging from secured borrowing to governance and compliance issues. She has been described in Chambers Legal Directory as “excellent and very approachable”.
Sarah is a regular tutor at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queens University Belfast and is a visiting lecturer at the Graduate School of Professional Legal Education, University of Ulster.
Beyond work Sarah is Branch Officer and Chair of the North & West Belfast Branch of the National Autistic Society and a community volunteer at the Northern Ireland Hospice. She has recently been appointed as a charity trustee of the Northern Pharmacies Limited trust, however most of her spare time is taken up looking after her young children who delight in keeping her on her toes!
