Fergal graduated with a degree in Law with Politics from Queen’s University Belfast in 2006 and qualified as a Solicitor from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at QUB. In 2008, he was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland.

Fergal advises on a broad range of commercial litigation matters to include contentious banking and commercial property disputes, professional negligence actions, debt recovery, and breach of contract and tort claims, including defamation. He regularly advises on the validity and enforceability of bank security. He also enjoys advising a range of clients in contested property matters such as adverse possession, rent recovery and forfeiture.

Fergal has experience in advising on contentious matters of various sizes, scopes and complexities for a broad range of clients in both the private and public sectors. Having joined the company in 2010, Fergal was made an Associate in 2012 and a Director in 2016.

The 2012 Legal 500 described Fergal as an “up-and-coming solicitor who is ‘professional, with a quick turnaround and comprehensive advice’.”

In 2014 Fergal became an accredited Mediator with the Law Society of Northern Ireland Dispute Resolution Service having successfully completed the course in Civil and Commercial Mediation provided by the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at QUB.

In 2016 he was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in the Republic of Ireland.
