There’s an art to Employment Law and Aisling has mastered it. Aisling studied Art and Design before moving on to Law at Trinity College Dublin, where she discovered her talent for employment issues. She still takes a creative approach to her work, which can make all the difference when it comes to untangling complex cases or finding new ways to resolve problems.
Having worked for Matheson Solicitors in Dublin, Aisling joined our Employment Unit in 2001 and now handles wide-ranging employment and discrimination cases. Her approach has achieved successful conclusions and fulsome praise from clients representing both the public and private sector. Phrases like ‘professional support and guidance’, ‘good piece of work which clarified our thinking’, ‘quick turnaround time’ show that Aisling’s style gets results.
Aisling regularly presents seminars to clients on issues ranging from dismissals to TUPE and contributes articles and cartoons to Legal Island. Aisling also lectures on the Computing degree course and on the MSC course in Digital Media Communication at the University of Ulster.
Aisling is ranked as a Star Associate in Chambers 2014 which states that she “handles the full spectrum of employment work. She has experience of advising on issues arising in the Republic of Ireland and is capable of dealing with matters spanning the two jurisdictions”.
Outside work, Aisling continues to use her artistic abilities and has been a Board member of the Belfast Print Workshop since 2012.
