Scott practised in Manchester for nearly 10 years, returning here in 2006 to become Partner in our Commercial Department. He worked in the corporate finance department of international firm Hammonds and at corporate finance boutique, Wacks Caller Solicitors, gaining extensive experience in all types of corporate finance and transactional work. This included international M&A, public company listings and capital fund raising on stock exchanges, corporate reorganisations and restructurings and private equity and venture capital investment and fund raisings.
Scott leads the firm's IPR & Technology team and has experience in advising in areas such as bespoke software contracts, exploitation of IPR including IPR licensing agreements, technology based joint ventures and collaborations.
Qualified to practise in England and Wales, as well as locally, Scott can advise clients who do business across the water or closer to home. He is a Council member of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an Affiliate member of the British Franchising Association, reflecting his interest in the franchise market.
