Current Opportunities

There are a number of positions available within Cleaver Fulton Rankin. Please see our page on NI Jobs for a list of current vacancies.

Trainees

The firm presently has 7 Trainees, 4 due to qualify in August 2008 and 3 due to qualify in August 2009.  Approximately three quarters of all Trainees who have qualified with the firm in recent years have been offered positions as qualified solicitors.

Departmental Training Structure

Our training sets out to supplment the training at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies and further training which may be organised by the Law Society.  Each Trainee will have experience of the three main departmental seats where the Trainee will undertake a range of work within each of the four departments.  This will be under the direct supervision of an experienced solicitor within each department but will involve working with a variety of solicitors at all levels.

Induction Programme

A general induction programme takes place at the beginning of September for each new intake of Trainees and this will be followed up by departmental induction as each Trainee joins a new department.

Recruitment

We plan to recruit 3-4 new Trainees to start their training in September 2008.  Applications for a Traineeship must be made by completing our firm's application form which can be obtained by writing to or emailing Roisin McCormick at info@cfrlaw.co.uk and providing name and address details.  The application forms will be available from the end of February 2008.  We will also be considering applications from students who have completed the Legal Practice Certification in England and Wales.   The deadline for receipt of completed applications is 2:00pm on Wednesday, 19 March.  Interviews will take place around the Easter vacation.

Recruitment Evening

We will be hosting a recruitment evening at our offices on Tuesday, 18 March 2008 for final year and postgraduate law students who are applying for a Traineeship.  This will provide an opportunity to meet our present trainees and other solicitors.  If you would like to attend, please email Roisin McCormick at info@cfrlaw.co.uk.
