GDPR E-Learning Solution

The new GDPR legislation impacts on all organisations that handle personal data of UK and EU individuals be they clients, employees or suppliers. GDPR has a global impact with organisations from Silicon Valley to Australia, including those with no physical presence in the EU, having to ensure full legal compliance. We can offer you a convenient and inexpensive E-Learning GDPR solution for your organisation. For all employees who handle personal data, GDPR requires all Data Controllers and Data Processors to train all such staff on GDPR, and to retain clear records that such training has taken place.

This link contains a taster of what the E-Learning tool looks like. The first module is unlocked for you to view.  The GDPR course is designed to be simple and accessible and can be viewed on desktop or mobile devices when convenient. Our E-Learning resource is a user friendly, expedient and low cost training solution for your workforce. We can also deliver practical workshop training to senior managers including Data Protection Officers and those who will have significant involvement in handling personal data.

We are also currently conducting Data Protection Audits and Privacy Impact Assessments as well as advising on Data Sharing Agreements and Privacy Notices on behalf of a number of clients and we can provide these GDPR services to your organisation if required. The ICO and other national regulators in the EU can impose fines of up to €20million or 4% of annual turnover (whichever is the larger amount!) for non-compliance of the various Data Protection legal requirements.

Employment Protection Scheme

A recent Freedom of Information Request from The Irish News revealed that overall between the Industrial Tribunal and the Fair Employment Tribunal, cases are up 28% since the previous year. This has resulted in over £1.5 million in compensation being paid by local businesses. This figure does not account for the additional costs in terms of legal fees, wasted management time and out of court settlements.

When faced with an Employment Tribunal claim, the biggest fear for many businesses is the cost involved. We are pleased to offer our Employment Protection Scheme through which we can provide insurance cover to clients to mitigate the risks of expensive Tribunal claims. For a no obligation quote please contact us via the contact details below. We will take the relevant details from you and revert with a quote from our insurance partners. The insurance cover we provide is flexible and works around what you want to pay in terms of an excess.

The policy gives you the option to chose between two limits of indemnity. You can choose between £50,000 for any one claim and £500,000 for all claims in the one year or £100,000 for any one claim and £500,000 for all claims in the one year. Irrespective of what limit of indemnity your business requires, you can pick the policy excess. Our Employment Protection Scheme offers a wide ranging policy excess from as little as £250 going up to £10,000. If you find yourself wanting a higher or lower policy excess from the limits given, there is an option for you to specify your required amount. It may be worth nothing that lower monthly/yearly payments will result in a higher excess and vice versa.

To give a better understanding of the range of figures, please see the following worked examples:

  • if a business with a wage roll of £250,000 selects a £50,000 limit of indemnity and an excess of £250, the premium with be £395;
  • if a business with a wage roll of £1,000,000 selects a £100,000 limit of indemnity and an excess of £500, the premium will be £1,650;
  • if a business with a wage roll of £500,000 selects a £50,000 limit of indemnity and an excess of £250, the premium will be £790.

We understand the concerns many employers face when dealing with a tribunal claim and are here to guide you through the process. Unlike with other forms of employment protection insurance, you can be rest assured that we will be able to represent you in Tribunal and you will be able to retain instant access to our team of highly qualified employment lawyers, assisting and supporting you throughout the process.

Our Employment Protection Scheme insurance cover will give you peace of mind knowing that if a Tribunal claim arises, your costs and most types of compensation that a tribunal can award will be covered , subject to the limit of indemnity that you can choose.

Please fill in the Proposal Form and send it to us via the contact details for a no obligation quote.
