Director Jonathan Forrester appointed to the Committee of BICBA

July 22, 2015

Cleaver Fulton Rankin Director Jonathan Forrester has been recently appointed to the committee of the British and Irish Commercial Bar Association (BICBA)

BICBA was launched in Dublin on the 18th April 2013 thus creating a new association open to Barristers and Solicitors in the UK and Ireland who practise in Commercial Law. This is the first time a single association has linked Barristers and Solicitors in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.

BICBA aims to promote dialogue, education and networking between Barristers and Solicitors working in Commercial Law in the UK and Ireland and raise the profile of Commercial Law Barristers and Solicitors working in the UK and Ireland. It also fosters and develops relations between the UK and Ireland in the interests of reconciliation, stability and economic development.

On his appointment Jonathan said, “I am delighted to join the committee of BICBA. It is a fantastic association which enables commercial lawyers from all four jurisdictions within these islands to collaborate and network together to enhance inter-state and intra-state trade as well as their global presence.”

Jonathan’s appointment to the BICBA committee comes at a significant time as Belfast will be hosting the 5th annual British Irish Commercial Law Forum on 21st April 2016.
