The Prince’s Trust to get Cleaver Fulton Rankin’s supportFebruary 10, 2014
Cleaver Fulton Rankin has announced its chosen charity of the year for 2014 will be The Prince’s Trust, Northern Ireland.
The Prince’s Trust aims to give practical and financial support to young people who are not in work, education or training, helping them develop key skills, confidence and motivation. They operate a range of successful programmes all aimed at engaging young people and encouraging them to take control of their lives and build a brighter future.
Karen Blair, Managing Director, Cleaver Fulton Rankin said, “We didn’t have to look far when choosing a charity that resonates with employees and fits with our own supporting local ethos. We are a local firm and all our efforts in the coming year will support young people in Northern Ireland.
“This time we are taking our involvement one step further. As well as raising vital funds for the charity, we will also be giving employees an opportunity to volunteer their expertise to the young people supported by the charity, be that help with filling out application forms or helping with interview techniques to help get them on the road to employment and learning.”
Ian Jeffers, Director with The Prince’s Trust in Northern Ireland
“ We are delighted to have been chosen by such a prestigious company whose staff understand the challenges faced by young people in Northern Ireland and are committed to helping them . Support from the private sector is vital to our work both in terms of funding and the practical help and experience they can offer the disadvantaged youth who come through our doors.
“ The next year will be an exciting time for both the Trust and Cleaver Fulton Rankin working in partnership to support around 5,000 young people to get their lives on track and move into a positive outcome and we look forward to achieving some great results together.”
Former ‘The Voice’ winner Andrea Begley, local Prince’s Trust celebrity Ambassador, recently came to Cleaver Fulton Rankin’s newly refurbished offices to help launch the partnership with the team, and Ian Jeffers, Director, The Prince’s Trust.
Cleaver Fulton Rankin has in the past supported Cancer Focus and most recently the Alzheimer’s Society, raising over £40,000 in total.
